Travis Kvapil will drive in this weekends Cup race at Martinsville for Penske Racing's #06 Dodge, also look for Formula One driver Klaus Graf to drive the #59 Dodge as a teammate to Ken Schrader and BAM racing. Graf will also make an attempt in the season finale at Miami.
Both Bill Lester and David Reutimann have been cleared to race this weekend after being involved in one of the most violent wrecks I've seen. The race was red flagged for 26 minutes for clean up and SAFER walls repair...certainly good news there.
TESTING | ATLANTA
11 drivers circled the track in preparation for next weekends race. The fastest was Mark Martin with a speed of 184.800mph, also testing were John Andretti, Jeff Green, Kerry Earnhardt and Boston Reid.

HAAS CNC Racing has swapped crew chiefs between their Busch and Cup teams. Robert 'Bootie" Barker moves over to Ward Burton's #0 Cup car, and Bill Ingle heads up the #00 Busch car.
Martin Truex Jr. will attempt to make his Nextel Cup debut next weekend in Atlanta. He'll be driving the #1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated.
TESTING | ATLANTA
Getting set for the race next week was Mark Martin, who turned in a lap of 30.04 seconds in his #6 Ford...also testing their Busch setups were points leaders Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch.

University of Kentucky basketball coach Tubby Smith and Joe Nemechek's NEMCO Motorsports will field a Busch car starting next season with Jamie Mosley as their driver, no sponsor has been named just yet.
Dave Blaney takes over the #14 FitzBradshaw Busch car for the rest of the season. The decision was mutual, and Casey Atwood leaves the team and starts to look for a new ride for 2005.
Bobby Labonte will run in the truck race this weekend at Martinsville. He will be behind the wheel of the No. 47 Acxiom Celebrity Silverado with a special paint scheme showcasing country music star Josh Turner.

Dale Jr.'s 25 point penalty stands according to The National Stock Car Racing Commission for the use of inappropriate language on national TV after his win at Talladega.
Ron Hornaday has been inked to drive Kevin Harvick's #6 Silvarado in the truck series next year. He replaces Matt Crafton, who will finish out this year and is 5th in CTS points.
Texaco/Havoline will continue to be the primary sponsor of the #42 Dodge for a long time to come. This season marks the 17th consecutive year the company has sponsored a Cup car.

-A first lap, first turn wreck was caused by Scott Riggs not getting up to speed, made it a long night for Chasers Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch.
-Brian Vickers was involved in a very hard crash when he lost control of his #25 machine...he is okay.
-Jeff Gordon spun on the front stretch, also took out a strong Rusty Wallace car
-The DeWalt Ford of Matt Kenseth found the wall after a tire goes flat, he battles back to a 11th place finish
-Kasey Kahne simply dominated this race, led 207 of 267 when he crashed with tire problems
-With 22 laps to go Jimmy Spencer ran into the back of Brendan Gaughan, and this takes out Ryan Newman and Mark Martin who were battling for second place.
