A few crashes to report during testing. In Las Vegas Carl Edwards ran through some oil left down by David Reutimann's blown engine and hit the wall. John Andretti also lost a battle with the wall. At California Speedway, teams are having to deal with very windy conditions but it was a blown tire that sent Kasey Kahne into the wall with his #9 Dodge. Both drivers are okay.

Grand-American Road Racing Series kicks off this weekend with the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and there are plenty of NASCAR guys to watch. Including Kurt Busch, Bobby and Terry Labonte, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle, Jimmie Johnson, Jamie McMurray, Casey Mears and Tony Stewart. The green flag falls at noon on Saturday and wraps up on Sunday. Check it out on the Speed Channel.

Driver Picks for the Superbowl

-Mark Martin doesn't know much about football, but like's Philly Steak Sandwiches so he's for the Eagles.

-Greg Biffle is going for the Eagles also, for no particular reason.

-Matt Kenseth is going for the defending Champion Patriots.

-Carl Edwards thinks the Eagles will win after talking with his brother.

-Ricky Craven is obviously going for New England since that's where he calls home.

Ricky Craven's 8th annual Snowmobile Ride for charity raised over $185k last weekend and put them over the $1 million dollar mark. Over 400 riders participated in the 60 mile ride in Maine, and among the recipients are the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Childrens Miracle Network.

Tony Stewart took out Ryan Newman in the last hand at their Texas Hold 'em tournament at the Palms Las Vegas. Newman had pocket 5's, but Tony pulled an ace on the flop and took the title. The tournament was part of Michael Waltrip's Operation Marathon which has raised over $815 thousand so far.

Teams are in Las Vegas and California this week, getting their first real chance to see how the new rules package for this year will is affecting their cars. The new package includes a shorter spoiler and Goodyear tires.

Speaking of Mark, he's open to the idea of running in the Craftsman Truck Series next year and might even start his own team, but could also drive for Roush.

Tony Stewart is not happy with being forced to use the HANS device this season since NASCAR has made it mandatory for all drivers to use. Stewart has been using the HUTCHENS deivice and has met with the HANS creators to try and develop a comfortable solution, but there may not be a quick fix for this.

Ashton Kutcher from FOX's "That 70's Show" was named as the honorary starter for the Daytona 500. He'll wave the green flag that officially starts the 2005 season as 43 cars rumble by. Whoopie Goldberg did the honors last year.

Michael Waltrip ran the Las Vegas International Marathon over the weekend along with Kyle Petty. Mikey's time was 3:56.52 and Kyle clocked in at 4:16.02. Waltrip finished 747th, and Petty was 1112th out of 2189 runners. They were running as part of OPERATION MARATHON to raise money for The Victory Junction Gang Camp.

Dale and Kelley Jarrett will continue their support of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and will donate $10,000 for every win the 88 car gets, and $5000 each poll. There are other donation dollar amounts for other positions as well.
